Those who have read the bulletin must have seen the "keep the day free for Saturday, June 7th. We were planning a surprise to honour Father Allyn before he leaves our parish, but if we keep planning in secret, it will be a surprise not only for Father Allyn but also for most of our parish family of faith.
All the parish ministries together invite all parishioners and their family to a potluck dinner after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday June 7. For the next 3 weekends after every Mass, we will have a group of volunteers in the front foyer to accept your registration for the number of attendees and your food contribution. (Just for your info, Father Allyn likes spicy food). We will also have a gift box where you can deposit your personal cards, donations, etc. Since this function is by invitation and no tickets are being sold, no liquor license is required. As such, you are invited to bring your drink of choice to share with Father Allyn. Father enjoys a cold Guinness, and I have never heard him refuse any drink. And I enjoy any drink that is complementary. Father Allyn has dedicated almost nine years to serve our parish family. Let’s get together in big numbers to honour the Shepherd of this parish.
